The baby boomers are not getting any younger but could possibly ignite a housing boom! San Antonio, Texas has been a great area to come to and retire for the boomers. According to an article by foxbusiness.com by 2035 one fifth of the people in the United States will be aged 65 or older that could mean that one out of three households will be the top of their age group. Because of this data shows that growth in the housing market could increase so much that it will increase the demand for accessible housing. Supply and demand are still not there with projections years 2015-2035. Another interesting tidbit of data shows income dropping significantly after the age of 75, averaging from $54k-36k. Our very own Lukas Krause from Real Property Management, answers some great questions in this article.
So what does this mean in San Antonio? Well as you have heard the real estate market is still hot and we are seeing a need for affordable housing in many areas around the city. New Braunfels is growing at a fast pace with many investors renting their townhomes and houses. Great time to invest in Texas!
